The Winter Park Ski Train will have new power this year. On Thursday 12/07/00 the three engines arrived at Denver Union Terminal. This morning I caught them sitting at the north end of the station nearly at 20th.

The three F40PH's are #242, #283 & #289. They have been recently washed, and will soon be decaled for the Ski Train.
Acquired on a five year lease-to-own deal, the F40PH's were rebuilt and painted in Paducah, Ky.
The decals will supposedly have 'Rio Grande' and 'Ski Train' on the sides and the Ski Train logo on the nose.
